CBCT Scan

The conventional and digital dental radiographs are 2-dimensional pictures of 3-dimensional objects (teeth and their surrounding tissue). In recent years, a newer technology has been introduced that can represent the entire tooth in 3D. This technology is called Cone Beam Computed Tomography Scan or CBCT Scan. Our office is equipped with the most advanced CBCT scan machine that is available to endodontists. With such an advanced scanner, not only we are able to visualize the complex anatomy of the root canal system, but we can also examine the surrounding vital structures, including the maxillary sinus, the nerves that give sensation to the lips and teeth, etc. Thus, allowing us to diagnose and create a treatment plan quicker and with more accuracy.
